Edward Joseph Yawson

Research Associate

I successfully completed Sichuan University in 2021 and was admitted to the Master of Philosophy in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. Currently, I am enrolled as a PhD candidate at Sichuan University. I hold a BA from the University of Ghana with a combined major in Chinese and Political Science. I had my secondary school education at St. James Seminary Senior High School in Sunyani. 

In November 2021, I was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer at the Chinese Section of the Department of Modern Languages. Prior to that, I had served as a Teaching Assistant in the same section during the 2017/2018 Academic year. My main areas of research include Teaching and learning of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCSOL), Language Acquisition, Comparative Analysis, Error Analysis, and Language Pedagogy.
