Qiu has over 7 years of experience in the African banking industry, focusing on China-Africa cooperation, project financing in the sustainable ways.

Qiu also has extensive research experiences in topics such as China-Africa relations, debt restructuring, mining development, and other key socio-economic topics, and worked in several research projects with many think tanks and institutions. He specialises in managing a diversified client portfolio(mining, infrastructure and manufacture), assessing credit risk, promoting lending and hedging products, and providing strategic investment advice in Africa.

With a strong academic background from a top engineering school in China and additional studies journey at Korea University and the University of Cape Town, Qiu combines engineering expertise with a passion for research and analysis.

He is dedicated to fostering China Africa communications and promoting sustainable development.

Outside the professional life, Qiu is passionate about traveling and deeply values cross-cultural interactions, believing in the importance of understanding diverse perspectives to drive meaningful change.
