Florentine Adjoa Ansah-Asare

Research associate

Florentine holds a Master of Education degree (M.Ed) in Economics of Education and Management from Central China Normal University, a certificate of Proficiency in Chinese from Beijing Language and Culture University, and a
Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana
Legon.

She is currently an Education Specialist with Edify where she is responsible for
designing, implementing, following up and assessing programs for school
improvement and school leadership development. She previously worked with
Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation on the USAID
Partnership for Education: LEARNING, as a Communication and Research
Specialist. After her graduation from China, Florentine spent a year teaching
Chinese at the University of Ghana as a Research Assistant, where she had
previously taught Spanish during her National Service. She moved on to work as a Project Coordinator, Administrative Assistant and a Translator with Hanergy Thin Film Solar, a multinational Chinese solar company.

Florentine is passionate about leadership, education, culture and development.
Her rare combination of education, work experience coupled with her high
proficiency in four foreign/international languages; English, French, Spanish and
Chinese provide her with competencies applicable in both international and
national institutions.

Florentine’s objective is to equip and empower individuals, communities and
nations with skills and information, knowledge and training that will give them
performance aptitude effective enough to drive them into pursuing a
development that is functional, operational and relevant to their immediate
needs.
